Dump the Pump Day, June 19
Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the 2008 National Dump the Pump Day is a day that encourages people to ride public transportation to help improve the environment and to conserve gasoline. Make this Thursday, June 19 your opportunity to ride the (sea)Coast bus, take the commuter rail or the T into Boston (where ridership is up 6.2% since January), or find some other means of saving gas and the environment, like carpooling, riding your bike, or simply walking.
And don’t forget to take out your frustrations on Whack-A-Pump!
