Coast ridership continues to rise
While the continuing rise of gas prices shows no sign of abating, the Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (Coast) is reporting that bus ridership in the Seacoast area remains on a record pace, with 390,000 trips estimated for 2008, an increase of 4% - 5% over the system’s record year in 2007. Coast expects that 2008 will mark the sixth straight year of record-setting ridership.
